The last show we saw was Dio & Anthrax at the Beacon Theater in NYC. Great show as always, & my 23rd time seeing Dio (showing my age there... ;D )
We checked out Edguy & Tad Morose at BB Kings, also in NYC in September. This was a well anticipated show, our first time ever seeing these bands & Edguy's first NYC performance. Both bands were fantastic & they should be coming back to the US real soon!!!
Next up for us...MEGADETH!!! Really looking forward to this one, as it's been quite a while since they've been around!

Haven't really been to that many shows this year at all, just not that many that we really were interested in seeing. The most memorable for me was Gamma Ray, saw them at BB kings in NYC and also went to Minnesota to see them. We got to do an interview with Kai Hansen for the site...that was fantastic! Kai has ALWAYS been one of my "Metal Idols" and it was alot of fun getting a chance to sit down and talk with him. Also just went to see our friends in Queen Of The Ryche do an aftershow party for Queensryche last Thurs. Check out their website at www.queenoftheryche.comThis band fucking smokes!!! If you're into the whole tribute band thing they are a MUST see! They play lots of great Queensryche tunes that Queensryche themselves don't really play anymore, plus they are just all around great and fun people to hang out with. MAKE SURE TO CATCH ONE OF THEIR SHOWS SOON! You won't be disappointed!

Well although this year has been kinda slow with the concerts and such...LAST year was a year for concerts. In 2005, not only did we have a chance to see Queensryche again (both solo and with Judas Priest), we had the opportunity to attend the ProgPower VI fest last September. Bands there last year were Manticora, Circus Maximus, Orphaned Land, Conception, Angra, Stride, Symphorce, Pink Cream 69, Therion, and the band who I've waited a long time to finally come to the US, and the main reason we flew down, Stratovarius. We saw Stratovarius twice last year as after ProgPower, they played in New York. We also saw Hammerfall and Edguy, and Sonata Arctica. Sadly, we were unable to attend ProgPower VII this year, and we hope to go next year as it is just an unbelievable experience! Now that it is fall, the area shows are now coming up. We have Stratovarius again on Oct 2, Queensryche on Nov 8th, and Blind Guardian on Nov. 30. Now the fun begins again!
